Palliative Care Service
This service is for infants, children and young people with life limiting conditions. The community Palliative Care Service nursing team is supported by a lead consultant and offers support and specialist medical input to children and young people with life limiting and life threatening conditions.
The service is provided at York and Scarborough Hospitals as well as in the community.
Dr Claire Wensley is the named lead for the service, she works very closely with the community nursing teams and the paediatric consultants.
Children are usually referred from paediatricians or their GP.
