How to save the Staff Benefits and Wellbeing section to your home screen
iPad or iPhone
- Launch “Safari” app.
- Enter into the address field the URL of the website you want to create a shortcut to. Tap “Go.”
- Tap the icon featuring a right-pointing arrow coming out of a box along the top of the Safari window to open a drop-down menu.
- Tap “Add to Home Screen.” The Add to Home dialog box will appear, with the icon that will be used for this website on the left side of the dialog box.
- Enter the name for the shortcut using the on-screen keyboard and tap “Add.” Safari will close automatically and you will be taken to where the icon is located on your iPad’s desktop.
Android
- Launch “Chrome” app.
- Open this link.
- Tap the menu icon (3 dots in upper right-hand corner) and tap Add to homescreen.
- You’ll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.
The Staff Benefits Team organise a yearly Christmas market at both York and Scarborough Hospitals helping staff find those all important last minute Christmas gifts. We understand the difficulty of fitting in your Christmas shopping whilst working shifts, so we bring the Christmas market to you! Filled with festive music and fabulous stalls supporting a variety of local businesses.
Join us at of our dazzling Christmas Markets:
- Scarborough Hospital -Thursday 28th November, Discussion Room PGMC, 10am -1:30pm
- York Hospital -Tuesday 3rd December, Main Entrance, 10am -2pm
- Bridlington Hospital -Wednesday 4th December, Dining Room, 10am -1:30pm.
Stall Holder applications closed Friday 18th October, apologies but applications received after this date will not be considered. Successful applicants will be emailed by Friday 25th October.
For Staff based at Selby and Malton, we have booked a fabulous variety of stalls to set up in the restaurant everyday through out December in the run up to Christmas!

Purchase some discounted Panto tickets!
We subsidise tickets across five different venues, meaning staff pay between £3 -£5 per ticket to enjoy a local panto with the family.

Please note: These tickets are always a sell out, be prepared to wait as lines will get busy. Staff Benefits are unable to reserve tickets for staff members unable to purchase.
Terms and conditions (please read):
- Limited tickets available, served on a first come first served basis.
- Only book tickets for one show to give other staff members a chance to go.
- Tickets cannot be resold, if you are unable to attend please contact Staff Benefits.
- NHS staff member responsible for purchasing tickets must be in attendance at the show.
- Only staff employed by York and Scarborough Trust/ LLP can purchase tickets.
- Tickets will be limited to a maximum of ten tickets per person*. Please be considerate of others when purchasing and only purchase the amount you need, a ticket wasted means a staff member was unable to attend. *Grand Opera House York are limited to four per person.
- You MUST show your York and Scarborough Trust ID badge when collecting tickets from box office.
