There are free drop-off bays at the emergency department and at the front of the hospital's main entrance. The maximum stay for the drop-off bays is 20 minutes.

There is a drop-off zone outside Scarborough Hospital's North Entrance, accessed via Scalby Road. There is also a car park at this entrance containing disabled parking spaces and a small number of general spaces.

Getting to Scarborough Hospital by bus

Several buses are available to get to the hospital, with many from Scarborough town centre. The hospital also has its own East Yorkshire bus service (Number 10), which operates Monday to Saturday. You can also use the 9 and 9A to get to the hospital.

Maternity access at York Hospital - Saturday 22 February

On Saturday 22 February, 8am-6pm, there will be a temporary change of vehicle access to the maternity unit at York Hospital. Access via entrance 2 will be closed to allow essential works to be completed. 

If you are attending the maternity unit at York on this day, please drive in via the entrance for A&E (marked blue light priority).

The multi-storey car park will not be affected by this change, and any non-urgent visitors should continue to park in this area.
