Additional NotesAn ILOG number must have been issued before a cluster of cases can be processed as a suspected outbreak. Samples from each outbreak will only be tested until the first positive result has been obtained. After this point all further cases will be assumed to be Norovirus and WILL NOT be tested. Only samples submitted from the patients identified as being directly involved in the outbreak will be tested (this information must be provided by the Infection Prevention and Contol Team along with the relevant ILOG number). Testing for Norovirus without the provision of an ILOG number will only be performed at the request of a Clinical Microbiologist?Specialist.

Maternity access at York Hospital - Saturday 22 February

On Saturday 22 February, 8am-6pm, there will be a temporary change of vehicle access to the maternity unit at York Hospital. Access via entrance 2 will be closed to allow essential works to be completed. 

If you are attending the maternity unit at York on this day, please drive in via the entrance for A&E (marked blue light priority).

The multi-storey car park will not be affected by this change, and any non-urgent visitors should continue to park in this area.
