Community Diagnostic Centre
The new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Askham Bar Community Care Centre, York, and offers a range of services to help diagnose life-threatening conditions, such as cancer and heart problems, more quickly.
Provided in partnership with Nimbuscare, the CDC offers a provides a broad range of diagnostics, including checks, scans and tests which patients can be referred to by their GP.
What we do
- MRI and CT scans
- Ultrasound
- Spirometry
- Lung function and FeNO (fractional exhaled nitric oxide)
- Ambulatory blood pressure recordings and electrocardiography (ECG)
- Holter testing
- Echocardiography (Echo)
- Dual - Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA)
- Phlebotomy - Blood testing
- Point of Care Testing (POCT)
Opening times
The centre is open Monday to Friday between 8am to 6pm.
CT scanning is also available on Saturdays between 8am to mid-day.
