Our services

Chemotherapy services

Chemotherapy services are provided by this Trust at York and Scarborough hospitals and at our mobile chemotherapy unit, funded by York Against Cancer.

Many patients are able to attend as a day patient at either of our units or, if suitable to your circumstances, at our mobile chemotherapy unit where patients can receive certain chemotherapy regimes in Scarborough, Bridlington, Malton and Selby.

Our departments in both York and Scarborough hospitals offer:

  • Pre-assessments appointments with a chemotherapy nurse
  • Deliver chemotherapy for outpatients
  • Specialist oncology and haematology nurses
  • 8:30am-5:00pm telephone triage service (out of hours is Ward 31 on 01904 726031)

Our Trust is asking visitors to help protect patients from highly contagious winter infections by not visiting friends and relatives in hospital, when they have been unwell or in close contact with someone with flu or norovirus.  Full details here.
