HIV

YorSexual Health provides HIV care and well-being services in York and North Yorkshire.

HIV is now considered a long-term manageable illness. This means we expect people with HIV to have a normal life expectancy, continue with their work and education, and have families should they wish to.

HIV treatment is highly effective in improving the quality of life of people living with HIV. Now, with U=U (undetectable = untransmittable), treatment is also an effective way of preventing the passing of HIV to sexual partners.

For more information, please visit the YorSexual Health HIV page.

Getting tested
