Clinical IndicationThe female anopheles mosquito transmits malaria Likely affected persons will be those who have travelled from, to or through malaria -affected areas. Thin and Thick films are preparation and morphologically assess for the presence of malaria parasite and sub-type. These are 2nd checked by a biomedical scientist or with use of a antigen test kit .

Yellow weather warnings in our area

The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for ice and snow in our area. This is expected to affect routes to and from our hospital sites. 

If you are attending for an appointment, please plan ahead. Check road closures, leave in plenty of time, and drive safely.
