Depression

Depression is a term used to describe a mental health difficulty. Depression describes low mood that has been around for a longer period of time or that has started to interfere with your day-to-day life. Depression can make you feel that you: no longer enjoy the things you used to, don’t have the motivation to do things, struggle to find energy and ‘get up and go’. It can make you think negative things about yourself, the world, and your future.

Low mood can be a normal reaction to adjusting to or living with a physical health condition. Depression is a deeper sense of low mood that is harder to deal with. A psychologist can help you to manage depression and low mood and help you overcome difficulties linked to this.

The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for ice and snow in our area. This is expected to affect routes to and from our hospital sites.

If you are attending for an appointment, please plan ahead. Check road closures, leave in plenty of time, and drive safely.
